The journey continues...

We stayed one night in Ledges State Park in Iowa on our way to the Badlands in South Dakota.  Nice prarie land park with hot showers. This is becoming more of a luxury all the time...

Stayed two nights in the Badlands.  Tons of wildlife.  We saw bison, mule deer, pronghorn antelope, bighorn sheep, prarie dogs out the wazoo, a porcupine, bunnies, and a baby rattlesnake.  The mountains here are crazy lookin- it reminds me of the surface of the moon.  The buffalo were everywhere.  We were driving through them on the road and sleeping next to them in the campground.  There are more stars out here than I have ever seen in my life- really amazing.  The first night we had a pretty wicked thunderstorm to sleep through.  I didn't think the little tent was gonna make it, but it hung in there like a champ.

Next we head to the Black Hills to have a vision quest and find our spirit animals.
