Yellowstone
We saw a bear five minutes after driving into Yellowstone. He was right on the side of the road, maybe 15 yards from the car. Just rootin around doin bear stuff- it was awesome. We spent a couple days checkin out the gysers, mud pits, sulfer springs, pools, and such around the park.
We met up with Kurt, Rick, and Wendy (of the Winslow Family)- what are the odds in the middle of Wyoming? We did some backcountry camping at artist point. There was a huge beautiful waterfall and the cliffs looked like different colors of sherbert. We had a really sweet campsite by Ribbon lake. We found an improvised dock and some stadium seating around the firepit that someone had fashioned out of the fallen wood lying around. I wonder if Clint has ever been there?
We are taking a couple days at a hotel in Jackson Hole, WY to do our laundry before it is back into the woods! We have two different loops we are dying to do, one in Grand Teton and one in Yellowstone. Hopefully we'll see a moose.

ReplyDeleteI am so happy! A bear! I dont think that dial could have taken it based on a second look. He is rather huge. It is really interesting that you met up with part of the Winslow Family out in the middle of no where. The man is still keeping me down, but I have applied for grants so fear not. I hope you all are still doing ok with money so you can keep the pictures coming. Love you both! Take care!
